The Most Important Thing to get for a poker game is the playing cards

Spending a ton of money is not the answer for most poker game equipment and gear, in actuality the most important are the cards. Bicycle cards are great for about one or two games but the cards begin to bend and crease even after 100 hands of poker which really is not much playing time at all if you must purchase 2 decks of Bicycle for about 72 hours of play, after that the bends make it harder to deal plus when you deal because of the bend cards will begin to flip over.

My suggestion is to go with a good pair of Copag Poker Playing Cards or KemCo Poker Playing Cards they are heavier in weight and silky smooth so after long days and nights of shuffling they keep flat and you can deal them quickly and smoothly across a table. GEMACO is also very good and the same ones used in Binions Casino and other high end Vegas Casinos plus they are a little cheaper. Most people will argue which is better between Copag playing cards and KemCo playing cards so if you must find out buy a pack of each and find out which are best for you I suggest the Poker Jumbo Sized card, mostly because the graphics on each are larger so its easier to read on a large 10 man table.

Playing cards are definatly the essential so if your on a tight budget use a regular table with a table cloth, purchase cheap plastic chips and get teh cards first, and after every home tournament see if you can get a 1 or 2 dollar help from each player and save up for each other poker items you need.

Never play poker with people who have more money than brains

I hate to say it but the worst people to pla poker with are the people who have way too much money in thier pocket then brains. I play a home game with some friends and there are a select few in the group who are doctors and lawyers, etc. You get the picture either way they call and raise everything mainly because it's a home game with 50 dollar to 100 dollar buy in with no rebuys. Here is the problem they feel this is extra cash versus most people this is a considerable amount of money and it does take a little away from the game when this happens.

Here is the solution.... PLAY YOUR GAME. Make sure you play your regular way but maybe not so agressive, remember whe you fold you live to play another day and start picking and choosing your shots at the pots. Another great opportunity is your straight and Flushes, make sure you have the high card flush because most people who play that stupid aggressive will definatly chase cards.
